Our Philosophy

OUR VISION

We aim to operate a cooperatively governed organisation,
benefiting tamariki and their whānau of today and the future.

NPPC is a not-for-profit incorporated society.

We are governed by an elected committee that consists of
parents, whānau and community members.

Our committee set our strategic vision, and our management
and teaching team work to realise this vision.

OUR VALUES

Ako

Manaakitanga

Kaitakitanga

Whānaungatanga

Whānaungatanga

teaching and learning from each other.

a place of welcome and belonging for all.

respecting and caring for our environment.

building positive, respectful relationships.

valuing our bicultural foundation and our multicultural context.

We believe...

Manaakitanga, the showing of respect, and Whanaungatanga, a sense of connection, lay the foundations of our strong sense of community.

We provide a welcoming, inclusive, nurturing and loving home away from home that treats everyone with respect and dignity.

Reciprocal, collaborative, positive relationships with tamariki, parents, whānau and the wider community, ensure that whanaungatanga is at the heart of all we do.

Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum is our guiding document, it inspires kaiako in providing a learning environment that is driven by the strengths and interests of the tamariki.

Our focus on learning through play fosters curiosity, friendship, confidence, kindness and resilience.

We aspire for tamariki to leave Northcote Point Community Creche with a strong sense of self and a lifelong love of learning.

Our four kids have attended NPCC and we are grateful for the great kaiako - teachers and the korowai of aroha - cloak of love provided for all tamariki. As a not for profit community based organisation the focus is on doing the best for the children. We highly recommend NPCC to all parents looking for a great place to support their child's growth and development in a loving, enriching environment.

We couldn't be more grateful for this beautiful center. The Kaiako are extremely nurturing and dedicated to ensuring this space is everything you would wish for, for the Tamariki and so much more. There is the highest level of commitment to the curriculum and to ever evolving and improving all aspects of the center. We love having our youngest here
